Biography

Based in Vancouver, Ken LePage is a painter whose work emerges from a lifelong habit of observation. Early experiences shaped by solitude and immersion in the natural environment fostered a heightened sensitivity to material and spatial presence — concerns that continue to inform his practice.

Painting became the site where accumulated experiences could be distilled. His abstract work explores form and the quiet tensions that exist beneath surface interactions. Rather than illustrating specific narratives, Ken approaches the canvas as a field of inquiry — a space where intuition and medium intersect.

Now working full-time in his Chinatown studio in the Sun Wah building, Ken’s paintings are collected by private individuals and corporations and can be viewed each year at the East Van Culture Crawl. His work continues to evolve through process-driven exploration and an ongoing commitment to creative risk.
